Watch out, rising star! Château Bonneau, the Berrouet family’s confidential vineyard on the clay-limestone slopes of Montagne Saint-Émilion, has released its first vintage with the 2019 vintage. On these nine hectares where the vines are already 40 years old, all that was missing was a talented winemaker to reveal the wines. Since 2019, Jeff and Olivier Berrouet have been working in the same spirit as their father, Jean-Claude, who was the winemaker at Petrus for more than four decades! We love its mellow texture (90% Merlot) and ripe fruit with plenty of sparkle. But there’s also the structure and freshness of the Cabernet Franc.
