Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines are renowned universally. Behind this prestigious name lies a world of unlimited riches, in the field of vine growing, but also in the field of history and culture. In the area of production, situated between Orange and Avignon, the art of wine-making has, over the centuries, more than proved its reputation by producing a range of fragrances of rare intensity sealed by an “Appellation”. This long-standing tradition, is carried out in the "communes" of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Courthézon, Orange, Bédarrides and Sorgues.

Owners of La Fiole du Pape, the most famous Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the world.
Château Maucoil is a historic 43-hectare estate located in the north of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, on a terroir of safres and the Villafranchian plateau. Nestled in a green setting, the estate cultivates its vines in a single block using organic farming and biodynamic methods. Its range includes Côtes du Rhône Villages and Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines, both white and red, made mainly from Grenache but also from the 13 grape varieties of the appellation.
The estate is moving towards terroir studies and parcel-based selections, using single-varietal approaches, and the style of the wines is geared toward freshness and elegance, with a clearly asserted Burgundian signature, reinforced by the recent arrival of Pierre Vincent, named Best Red Winemaker at the International Wine Challenge in London in 2010 and 2014.
Rooted in Châteauneuf-du-Pape for three generations, Château de la Gardine is a family estate where wine is crafted with patience, passion, and respect for the terroir. "Do not underestimate the potential of Château Saint-Roch from the Brunel family in Lirac, where excellent value wines can be found." (Wine Advocate)
Since 2007, the family has developed a trading company, Brunel de la Gardine, offering a selection of Rhône Valley Crus in partnership with top winemakers. Since the 17th century, our family's winemaking activity has been documented by the purchase from the Bishop of Avignon of a plot of vineyard to the north of the appellation. Many generations have succeeded one another in the service of the vine, but it was only in 1954 that Lucien Brunel created the brand Les Cailloux in order to develop and promote the specificities and qualities of the estate's wines. Henceforth, the estate would be referred to as Domaine Les Cailloux. In 1971, André Brunel took over the management of the estate. Under his leadership, the Domaine experienced rapid growth: acquiring vineyards in Côtes du Rhône and Vin de Pays, and launching the famous Cuvée Centenaire in 1989. He also introduced significant changes in the vineyard management process, being one of the first in Châteauneuf du Pape to practice cover cropping and adopt a non-chemical approach to vine cultivation. In 2012, his son, Fabrice Brunel, joined him to perpetuate the family's history. The Domaine spans three appellations: Châteauneuf du Pape, of course, but also Côtes du Rhône and Vin de Pays de Vaucluse. Our pursuit of quality, respect for our terroirs, and the ambition to always offer our customers wines that they will appreciate as they age, drive us to take extreme care in their production, regardless of their appellation. The differences primarily concern aging periods (longer for Châteauneuf, shorter for Vin de Pays to make them more quickly accessible) and the use of barrels (for Syrahs in Châteauneuf du Pape to soften tannins, absent in Côtes du Rhône and Vin de Pays to preserve the freshness of the fruit).
On the heights of « Clavin » and at the northern limit of Chateauneuf du Pape, the estate was born in the 17th century.
Today, this old vines vineyard’s of 20 hectares (50 acres), in one single bloc, shares out between red Châteauneuf du Pape « les Trois Sources », red Châteauneuf du Pape «les Hauts-lieux» and red and white Côtes du Rhône « Clavin ».
The north facing terroir of slopes * and its microclimate gives to this unique location a special ability, remaining very well adapted to the extreme current climatic conditions of the southern Rhône Valley and producing singular, harmonious
and balanced wines.
From generation to generation, terroirs are benefiting from the greatest respect and the vigneron, who remains attentive and sensitive, perpetuates the good practices and the « good sense of the farmer ».
All the traditional and original grape-varieties are selected, reproduced and planted using complantation (different kind of grape-varieties mixed in
the same plot). Harvests entirely done by hands allow a first selection in the vineyard and a second selection when the grapes (transported in small boxes), arrive at the winery.
The vinification continues to be traditional and the fermentation is natural, without any addition. The priceless natural yeasts located in the pruine (berry), reveals both singularity of each terroirs and single expression for each vintage.
Following a long and slow fermentation, wines are drained away in foudre (large oak barrels). Then, after 18 months aging, the bottling is done without fining and filtering.
All the wines are certified by Demeter ©

The Vignobles Strasser Radziwill group is composed of several wine estates, located in the most beautiful appellations of the Southern Rhone Valley, such as the Domaine de Coyeux in Beaumes de Venise, the Domaine Le Prieuré des Papes in Châteauneuf-du-Papes, the Domaine de La Pousterle in the Luberon and the Domaine du Moulin Blanc in Tavel.
Domaine Le Prieuré des Papes is located in the northern part of Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the Cabrières district,
the estate vineyard is grown on sandy soil over a limestone subsoil. North orientation brings a lot of freshness to the wines. We look to produce modern Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with light use of oak and mixing our aging vessel such as wine globe, different oak size barrels and eggs.
We produce 3 red Châteauneuf-du-Pape (2 single vineyard plot), 1 white Châteauneuf and 1 red Côtes du Rhône.
This is what our wines are all about: translating the uniqueness of Provence, the violence of its climate, the aridity of its soils and the ardor of its people... Our summer-sun-drenched fruit offers the sensuality of Mediterranean figs, Mont Ventoux cherries and wild strawberries. Sometimes the Mistral breeze blows the thyme and rosemary of a five-year-old red Châteauneuf du Pape. Ripeness suits our wines well; while the fennel of the wayside gives an anis touch our great whites. Our wines are a journey to Provence.
From mother to daughter, we've worked this terroir for 21 years to bring out its exceptional character.
