** MADE FOR THE POPE, THE PRESIDENT’S WINERY
“Domain de la Presidente” means “the new castle of the pope,” and Chateau Nef du Pape is made in Avignon, the home of wine, in the center of the southern Rhône region. This is the name attached to the wine made with affection by the pope for 70 years since 'Clement V', who was imprisoned here due to the 'Avignon Captivity'. In 1615, ‘Alexandre de Gallife’ got the position of president, and in 1701, a winery named ‘La Presidente’ was started. In 1968, 'Max Arbert' is the chairman of the 'Cote du Rhone' association and the founder of 'University du Vin', a winemaking university with tradition and history in 'Suz la Rousse', and is a family-run winery.
