A Brandy de Jerez Solera Gran Reserva with origins that date back to the second half of the nineteenth century. A masterpiece of 16 scales.
The crafting of 1866 begins with the careful selection of the best grapes, which are then used to create the wine that will be distilled. This distillation is carried out using an artisanal, discontinuous method in copper alquitaras located in our own Tomelloso distillery. Brandy 1866 is aged for an average of twelve years in old Sherry casks that previously held Osborne's best fine wines, which give it a unique delicacy. It is 1866's use of the Criaderas and Solera system that makes the difference. The brandy goes through 16 scales in Sherry casks, an unprecedented number, possibly the highest in the world of brandy and spirits. Thanks to this, 1866 achieves an unparalleled complexity of aromas and flavours. This dynamic aging process encourages the fusion of the different aromatic elements it develops, achieving an incomparable harmony of flavours.
